It's called "operator error"

Try camera or linear tonemapping.

No it distinctly looks like a pink sherbet sorbet (unless of course you mean its pink sherbet sorbet flavoured ketchup?)

either way, it still wont taste very good with fries.

[REQ] Sequence rendering

So far I've been using a batch script to do sequences which can be a bit of a pain in the ass to do repeatedly. I was just thinking it would be nice to be able to open a sequence of IGS files in Indigo and it would render them sequentially one-by-one with and with minimal fuss. This would be soo han...

Hey neepneep, Would be awesome if you could do a benchmark comparison between HyperThreading on & off. I'm very interested how much the extra threads kick in, afaik it should be like +50% speed up!?! Not much difference between the two, I think it depends on the application but to be honest I have ...

Yes indeed, the future is going to be very bright for unbiased animations as well :D Just need an easy mechanism for rendering them now ... I have a one of these and 2 fans. Also about 5 other fans around the case and I get max load temp of 65 celsius so far. Stock cooling is apparently about 10c wa...

I did a little overclocking and am running at 3.5ghz up from 2.6ghz now and all I can say is Holy Fiddlesticks - my previous machine (3ghz P4) was doing this scene at 68,000 s/sec. The i7 is now doing it at 1,100,000 s/sec now :P

Also, make sure the ice cubes are not instances - instanced objects with transparent materials turn black for some reason.

It seems that each indigo version previous to 0.9_test1 will render the scene slightly different but looks correct - , while versions 0.9_test1 and onwards renders with those dots - and it gets more intense it later versions. So which version is correct? Or is there still a bug here? (or just operat...

oh my mistake, its not due to cauchy - its something else... Try run the dispersion test scene and see for yourself. Every time I try it I get loads of multicoloured fireflies. (try with aperture diffraction disabled) Next edit the igs file and change the cauchy to 0 then run it. The fireflies are s...

This happens to me 100% of the time when I have a material that uses dispersion (cauchy > 0) If dispersion is disabled then everything looks fine.

Can anyone confirm that this is a bug or if I am just doing something wrong?

I just got i7 920 up and running and I am just floored at the difference in speed compared to my old P4 3ghz.... :D :D :D I got an Asus p6t motherboard, 6gb of 1666mhz ram, and running win xp 64-bit. I did the dispersion test as well however...something with dispersion seems to be broken on my side ...

Awseome! I just got an i7 920 as well but haven't finished setting it up yet. Apparently its possible to get up to 40% speed improvements with air cooled overclocking so you should def give it a try - just make sure you use something other than the P.O.S. stock cooler. Also, give it a go on Indigo 1...
