sorry, wrong choice of word - i meant metallic as in colour, grey... it should be brown.

yeah, i suppose so. i'm also wondering why my floor is so much darker. forgive me, i'm quite new to doing this kind of thing, but is there a known reason for that? in addition to the 3 coloured emitters in the rear compartment, there is also a (very very dim, white colour) overhead plane emitter abo...

it's just normal glass - IOR 1.5

there's nothing special about any of the objects or materials in the scene - just the way they are arranged and used. It's indigo, of course, that has done the "amazing" part. :)
