Another possibility would be inadequate cooling of the cpu. Newer AMDs should be capable of thermal throttling, right?

For blender, there is a more generic approach, called retopo. You can 'drop' a subdivided plane over your pills, it will follow the surface of your objects.

That doesn't explain those odd circles on the diffuse plane, though... A bug?
Hm, not a bug, just Metro turned off and max depth set to 1. I think it's just out of the usable range that indigo is supposed to be set up..

You can't take all the unbiased bits out of Indigo... You can make it slightly more biased, by using lower MNCR, but that's not the only part of unbiasedness ;)
;) And why aren't there two shadows?

Besides the fact I took all of the unbiasing bits out of indigo (sorry, Ono), there's some more obvious things wrong here;)

/edit Uuuh, my bad, this should have been a reply to the unrealistic rendering thread, very sorry.
Mod!
That comes from lurking around too much. Missing practise;)

It's a bit fake maybe, but I used a transparent diffuse, and it works quite well, see the lampshade.. (idea for the room shamelessly stolen from -- eh, I can't find the originating image anymore, take credit, everyone;))
I did too try to get it working with sss materials, results see below;p

Even if I did, you wouldn't be able to see it in the image. It is plain red and plain green light;p

ah okay so it´s an improved lense... all right... and what should we see? what exactly worked? the magnification or what!? o.O It is a kind of flattened lens, and I was just delighted to see it work. The triplet English,w/o image is a simple form of an objective, used in cameras or a slide-projecto...

Fresnel lens

Oi! I modelled a fresnel lens, put it in a triplet, and it worked! Not quite exact as the more voluminous counterpart, but it did! green image is the fresnel, red the 'real' lens. http://www.kierse.de:888/indigo/image.png here the used setup, minus the blackbox: http://www.kierse.de:888/indigo/setup...
