I can exclude the thermal throttling almost for sure. The cpu doesnt go above 59° Celsius. But: it seems that the dropping samples/second suggest some kind of throttling. Or is it normal that rendering starts at 370 000 samples per second and drops to 200 000? If it's in fact a bug of the Phenom cas...

Here is a comparison Chart, which shows actual speeds on the left side while you see expected (linear scaling) speeds on the right side. OK i know i cant expect linear scaling, but nearly.
Here you see that with the expected speed 3 cores should already be faster than 4 cores are actually for me.

when you open a Terminal, go to the Indigo Folder and type ./indigo what does the Terminal say?

i've got it running here without problems (Ubuntu 8.04_64 and indigo_64)

For all those using Ubuntu Hardy 64bit with the wxGTK problem.
This is easily solved by a simple
sudo apt-get install python-wxgtk2.8

At least this is what helped me.
