Re: A concept car

hmmmm...that's actually what I've done. But the headlight glass is a diffuse transparent material. Is that probably where I've gone wrong?

Re: A concept car

thanks! do you happen to have a good tutorial on making headlights? I've tried making one (headlights) before but I never really achieved a decent effect. As for the yellow lights, those are fog lights: http://www.caradvice.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2007/06/5029-yellow_fog_lights-800x600.JPG again, ...

A concept car

Hello there! First time posting on this section of the forum!
For quite a long time I've been working on this concept car with Blender 2.49. It's probably also my first big project (first one where I actually went past the million-faces mark!).
Here it is:

Re: Rendering artefacts

Currently using 1.1.18 (both Blendigo exporter and renderer). The weird thing is that, from another angle, you can't see any of these artefacts: http://i.imgur.com/Nslzk.png Yet, in the render posted above, its the artefacts are quite obvious. There are no UV maps on the car, only a phong material. ...

Rendering artefacts

Not really sure if these are in fact rendering artefacts (not really sure what they are), but there seems to be some weird spots on my render here:

Anyone know what's happening here?

Thanks in advance!

And, yes, I did unwrap the mesh An...

Re: Indigo won't launch - linux 32bit

It works in Wine however, even though it's still P3!

Any idea why?

Re: Indigo won't launch - linux 32bit

At first, I thought it was that too.
But according to Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentium_III
The most notable difference was the addition of the SSE instruction set
And, are there older versions of indigo that does not use SSE?

Indigo won't launch - linux 32bit

I've been setting up my own renderfarm from a bunch of old (but working) PIII computers and everything was going fine until I started indigo on one of the computers. I tried insatlling the wx libraries, but even now it won't launch. I checked again with a terminal window and now it simply says: $ ./...
