Re: Big Render

You still have 3 days to use the Ranch's renderfarm Blitz: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=104600#p104600 Your image is fairly massive, 5 mins on the Ranch will take a massive chunk out of the remaining render time, but might not finish it. Make sure you optimize the heck out of ...

Re: help! images come purple

Er, noon summer time is about as far away from the horizon as you can get

Perhaps a crazy white-point setting? Checked the light layers? If it persists, pack the scene (Indigo > File > Save as > .pigs) and post it and we'll have a look

Re: Render Farm.

Indigo's network rendering is really powerful, make sure you utilize the automatic Slave on Screensaver

More on networking

The network manager could also be handy if you're going to have more than one master on the network, it'll juggle the slave/master connections for your 8)

Might be the easiest way I suppose. The exporters would need access to a bitmap library though. It would be easier if the baking could be done in Indigo, as defined by exported parameters...

Re: Question: Environment map and sun

Or make a small meshlight far from your scene and crank the brightness so it's as bright as the sun! Would this make a sun as good as sun & sky? If so, it could be a straight-forward hack for the exporter devs be to add a 'add sun object' tool - simply adds a small bright sphere just within the env...

Re: 1984 - Pool Balls by indigo

The ball looks pretty pixelated to me, if I use plain phong it is perfectly smooth, with a tiny bit of SSS I get this. I'm almost sure it was discussed here before, is there a workaround or something I did wrong? Otherwise I will need to subdivide the faces until sub-pixel level, which is ok with a...
