Ok. I see... 500*~4^3*28~=896000 faces. Hum, I'm pretty sure that either my formula is wrong or you haven't got enough RAM, as that shouldn't really be a problem to handle... Not 500. Each monkey has a render subdivision setting of 3. I don't know how many polygons that makes but it definitely wasn...

Surface texture bakeout?
BTW, was there any mention of being able to bake out lightmaps of a scene instead of a snapshot of the scene from one angle?

Displacement "yes" but how will this effect render times??? With Maxwell I'm finding it better to just model the detail, displacement there seems to generally quadrouple render times! Richard Modeling detail works fine for "macro" details on surfaces but for "micro" detail it's out of the question....

What exactly does the "Cache to disk" button do?
It says "Enable caching KD-trees to disk" but I have no idea what that means. Does it make things render faster some how?

[REQ] Subdivision primitive?
Just wondering if this might be a feature consideration for the future. Leaving it up to the 3D package to subdivide before exporting the mesh is fine but this seems to generate huge .igs files which eat up A LOT of disk space. A test render I did with 28 monkey heads with subdivision at render time...

Is it possible to "bake out" render results?
You know, to textures that can be applied to geometry for faster rendering of fly-throughs for instance?

How do I submit suggestions?
I've been using the script to render some short animations and noticed the frame numbers the script spits out does not have leading zeros which means the rendered frames need to be renamed before I can load them in to some other program. 1,2...9,10 is no good. 0001,0002...0009,0010 is how it should ...

I can verify that the "export to animation" button gives the same errors as listed below. bummer... phong. ALso, using 'export to animation' doesnt want to work  Traceback (most recent call last): File "<string>", line 2944, in drawGUI File "<string>", line 965, in materialGUI File "<string>", ...
