- maybe some of your objects, like the chair, are RGB 256 (i.e. pure white), which should be avoided to "help" the render. You can use like 80%-90% white. very good hint for beeing a "n00b" Psycho . But just to keep this one accurate: max of 80% in R, G and B for your white color, its around ...

Hi ryandaniels, I'm very, very much a noob, but I have some observations that might help (something I stumbled into by reading many posts around this forum): - maybe some of your objects, like the chair, are RGB 256 (i.e. pure white), which should be avoided to "help" the render. You can use like 8...

Dyson game.
I wanted to be more descriptive in the title, but I couldn't do this game justice with only a few words. This game, while needs a lot of work to make it deeper and whatnot, is amazing. From the website: "Dyson is an ambient real-time strategy game with abstract visuals. Remotely command semi-autonom...

How do I make dark "shadowy" scenes?
I'm not exactly sure if this thread belongs in this forum, but oh well. I have been experimenting trying to make a shadowy club, and I've found that all lighing is completely comparison based; If you have one light, it doesn't matter what you do to the settings for it, it just stays the same. Anyway...

Region rendering problem.
Well, I am trying to render a scene that is 2700x3150, and as you may imagine, indigo crashes. So, I rendered a 900x1050 of that same image, and it worked. So, I tried to region render 9 peices of the 2700x3150 version at 900x1050 each, but it still crashed, I have no idea why it does, but it does. ...

Not sure I see any difference. But I've noticed something like that in the past, mainly for very extreme lens width like very wide angle or very long lens. Woo! Nice model by the way If you look at the edges, you can see in the indigo render, the edges of the object is closer to the edge of the pic...

Smooth your normals! The chair back, monitor stand and your desk legs spoil the "realism" (I know some other elements are not "real" as such, but the non-smooth surfaces don't fit the scene feelas a whole). Also, I would add a small skirting board too, as the differentiation between the floor and w...

Tame, Mostly; A competition peice.
I made this for a school competion that goes on to a state competion, and I got second place in my category, so this is going to the state competition! :D http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/5631/im1207842538ai8.png By ryandaniels at 2008-04-14 Yeah, I know about the poly issues, but I was a noob and...
