Re: Simple Renderings Thread
@Godzilla: Great attention to detail! And I like the subtle cool/warm lighting to show it off, too. Always a pleasure to see what you're working on. @Neo0: Not bad, Are those metaballs or normal spheres floating up out of the drink? It's a little hard to tell. One way to help seperate your subject f...

Re: Light flooding
If I understand correctly, you don't want your lights to illuminate so much of the scene, right? The lights in that scene are very big. I would decide what parts of the scene I want to be brighter, scale down the lights and place them there. The smaller the light, the greater the falloff should be. ...

I wanted them to look like white powder-coated wrenches, but I don't think I got the material quite rightdakiru wrote:@TerraMatrix
They are nice! But why they are look like plastic, I mean - not metallic?

Maybe a slight bump would have helped.

Re: [bug] Save Image
Eureka! After a couple hours of fiddling, I've finally gotten it to work. I found that when I would load one of the test scenes that comes with Indigo, I could save without problem. It was only when I was exporting from Blender that I encountered the error. So I disabled the "default.igs" button for...

Re: [bug] Save Image
So I suppose my only option would be to reinstall Indigo, correct? If that's the case, then will the key be the same? I still have that saved in a text file.

Re: [bug] Save Image
Thank you Ono and Zeitmeister for replying! I'm on Windows Vista. I also checked the folder labeled (if I remember correctly) formats, and all the files appeared to be there as they should. Since I haven't heard of any other uses besides Whaat having this same problem, I haven't many ideas of how to...

Re: [bug] Save Image
Can anybody help me with this? This makes Indigo completely useless to me at the moment (unless I want to do multiple screen grabs and paste the fragments together in photoshop everytime I want to save a render.) Not to mention I have an important project scheduled to begin in about a month, which w...

Re: [bug] Save Image
I'm also getting this error, however in my case it won't let me save in any of the four formats. When I was just using the demo, I didn't have any issue, but since I bought a license I've not been able to save.

I see, I'd assumed there was an established file format for profiles. Now I see that's not the case. Does anyone know if this is something that absolutely must be done with precise instruments and exactly controlled conditions? Or could someone with the time and the technical skill build a scanner t...

BRDF data sets
Don't know if this would be of use to anyone, but here are a couple sites with BRDF data in different formats. http://www.graphics.cornell.edu/online/measurements/reflectance/index.html http://www1.cs.columbia.edu/CAVE//software/curet/ I'm sure brdf is doable in Indigo, but as to how you can take th...

Violet/Chromatic Abberation Colors
First let me say, I just used Violet for the first time last night, and it really makes the whole process of rendering a lot less stressful. And being able to add chromatic abberation to a render has been something I've wanted for a long time. My question is about the colors used, the greenish and p...
