Jukka,

were you ever able to look at this by chance? I am toying with learning the API, or at least the basics of it for several reasons. If you have anything started it could be helpful to me, if not that's cool I'm sure you're quite busy.

THanks,
steve

Bump Map Issue

I am creating a stucco material and trying to roughen it a little, so I put a sand bump map on it. However I am getting some strange results. It seems that there are faces that are only getting half a bump, the other half is smooth, and I have lots of faces that receive no bump at all. all the faces...

I've had pretty good success going to sketchup via dwg from RA 2008 and then to Indigo. You have to do your materials in sketchup since it won't take the Revit ones, but the ones I've done haven't taken that long...

Ok, I got it. It was something to do with the back faces I think. My window was a component, but there is only one of them (imported geometry), so I exploded it. When I did, all the glass turned to aluminum (matching the frame). I flipped the faces and it was glass on the other side. So I just appli...

I did a view looking the other way and the sun worked fine through the window. The other materials are different, but the glass material and render settings are the same for this image. You can see that one pane of the window isn't right, but the other one is and is casting shadows. THat same pane i...

Ok, here are some images. I screen captured the sketchup screen including the material settings, the indigo render settings, the indigo material settings, and the image that results.

ok, ran out of time for today, but I'll try to post screen shots tomorrow morning. I can get it to cast the shadows right by putting the window in the view though...

thanks

Sun not showing...

I'm just learning indigo, so sorry if this is an obvious answer, but here is my question. I have a scene where the sun should be coming through a window to my left (out of the view). There should be direct rays coming into the view (i.e. there are shadows in the view). I can see the shadow lines in ...

I'm quite sure I dont' have the skill to write it. Maybe I can find someone who does... Oh well, looks like I'm going through sketchup for now...

Revit

We are an architectural firm. We use Revit which (in our opinion) is the future of archtiectural production software. Anyway, we can export to dwg and go though sketchup to get to indigo, but it would be great if we could get an exporter direct...
