Re: Roughness
Hi OnoSendai - I've linked to a very simple Sketchup 2018 file illustrating the problem. https://www.dropbox.com/s/w82g37cfm0aux0p/Roughness%20test.skp?dl=0 With the Phong material, I seem to be unable to apply any sort of map for the roughness setting. The material continues to be either fully glos...

Re: Sketchup exporter, bump maps
Yup - nailed it, thanks champ.I plan to use this to add subtle defects to plaster walls etc - endless applications
Cheers

Re: Sketchup exporter, bump maps
Hi Ono - the issue with Sketchup is that the "colours" don't function as textures, ie you can't scale or rotate them. Pibuz - many thanks for those instructions, they seem to almost work - I'll have another go and let you know. The bump map doesn't quite follow the re-sized texture, but it does chan...

Sketchup exporter, bump maps
There's probably a simple answer to this, but I can't figure it out. In the Sketchup exporter, I'm overlaying a bump texture on a simple Phong paint colour. What I want to achieve is an "embossed" effect as in the attached. Question though - how on earth do I change the dimension of the bump texture...
Roughness
Appears that Roughness doesn't export correctly through Skindigo - value does not change

Re: Thoughts?
All done and published on my history research site. The Cloudland Ballroom was central to Brisbane's (Australia) social scene for many decades, and a unique building. Constructed in 1940 it was the largest and most opulent ballroom in Australia, and probably one of the largest in the world at the ti...

Geo location slows rendering speed
Hi all - I'm having a problem with geo-locating my latest model in sketchup. Having set the new location (exporting the sun's position thorugh Skindigo) the rendering speed drops precipitously, by about 75%. Doesn't matter what the sun's actual position is, or indeed if it is a night-time image, the...

Wonderful!
Seems to be a bug using GPU with aperture diffraction and higher super sampling, email/scene sent.

Nope - but I probably should, to introduce some texture. I'll get the manual out..

Re: Thoughts?
Thanks Oscar - the floor is a tough nut, I've tried to replicate the original as closely as possible which was made from 1-inch eucalyptus boards laid in the same pattern as in the picture. It was a huge floor. But I'll dial back the colour saturation a bit, and also tone down the fluro colours.

Re: Indigo OpenCL the fastest PB Renderer out there?
I'm in over my head on this discussion but there seems to be an issue with Glossy Transparent on GPU that's been noted before. See the 0.47 thread.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.47 Beta Release
Nothing wrong with single-sided walls in large, complex arch viz models. Even if the walls are thick, some lighting features may be single side and if so will be "leaky" on GPU. In any case, I'm sure our devs will want to fix this issue in due course.

Spotted that too - see attached, exported from Sketchup.pixie wrote:In GPU there's quite a leakage when the walls are 'thin'. The light drains through the vertices. :(
