Re: Is it Possible to Create a Rainbow Arch

In the first image it is not artefacts, it is just that I scattered the spheres on many planes since we can not scatter objects into a volume in Indigo (yet ? ) , the spheres having a water material, and the planes a null material to be invisible. So the lignes and spaces on the bottom of the image ...

Re: Is it Possible to Create a Rainbow Arch

For now I made several tests, with various settings such as cauchy b coeff between 0.0013 to 0.003 even some to0.1,0.5, or 1; and IOR 1.3, with and without scattering with water spheres approximately 1mm diameter, in spaces from 5m cubic to 200m cubic, seen from far, seen from near, or seen from ins...

Re: Is it Possible to Create a Rainbow Arch

Yes it's what I tried, 4967967 spherical water droplets on aproximately 0 to 50m height, cauchy b coeff 0.003, but I get no rainbow. And a box of sss to do some fog, I tried uniform and RGB. I'm using path tracing with MLT I don't know if it's correct to have a rainbow effect

Re: Is it Possible to Create a Rainbow Arch

Other way is to implement a medium which simulates a water sphere suspension (but this isn't available yet)
Hello, is there already this implemented maybe ? Or did someone try something with good results ?

Re: An introduction to ISL

Thank you for your answer :)

Ok I understand haha

I didn't know about OSL, but I will take a look and try to learn more about OSL, ISL, when I will have more time; thank you for the links, and later I'll be back with my advancement, but it could take some time ^^

Re: Progressive Fog Density

Eneen : Try to put the middle of the height of the fog box at the ground level, and adjust its height, and the values to get the result your looking for ?

That's my little test here : By the way if yonosoy comes around, this is officially my first success with visible god rays on a simple render ;)

Re: Progressive Fog Density

You're already of a good help; I played with the numbers and got some nice results; of course depending on the scale of my scene the numbers have to be changed to fit the scene. I understand that the shape of the box containing the scene will better disappear if it englobes the whole scene; but as i...

Re: Progressive Fog Density

Thank you FakeShamus, it seems interesting for spheres, but It won't work for toric shapes for example or other complicate shapes I guess ( But I still can't make it work for a sphere for the moment  so maybe later )

Re: An introduction to ISL

Very Nice and easy tutorial you made CTZn.
I was looking to learn ISL, and thank you for your approach CTZn, I've understand the basis, but I was just becoming excited when your PDF tutorial stopped at "Dimension the third" ^^

How can I learn more about ISL please ? :)
