MadSweden

how did you do those wood textures for the table and bend legs?
The table looks pretty real.

Are those procedurals or images maps where you scanned in n grain
and side grains?

I cannot tell it thus I am asking.

Would u mind sharing how you did it?

well when you had the same problem from sketchup

I think that the problem is than more related to Indigo.
In particular when it crashed without a warning text.

I would say it closely rules out the exporter or mesh.

cpfresh are you using Blender? I am not sure if it might be related to UV. While no UV error came - BigDad mentioned it as a possibility. However in my scene the things I perfectly unwrapped. Not even sure if this procedural shader actually needs any UV unwrapping. I am curious if it could be relate...

Hey Ono this shader used as an external material makes Indigo crash / quite without any warning. I is applied to a simple uv unwrapped sphere. Something in particular I do wrong? <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <scenedata> <material> <name>Sphere</name> <phong> <exponent> <constant>10000</co...

Than refuse to help - I will not ask you for any.

Seriously I have no clue what your problem is.

It is your script - Indigo is in beta.

It is normal in that case that questions are asked.

You would suck at my job with that behavior.

CTZn

that image is a PHOTO of a real object and not a rendering.

Any idea why Indigo might crash when using Ono's bump shader?

I added this to my shader and Indigo always crashes without any warning... I have the 1.1.0 build and exporter. I use the material with the user external material option on a UV unwrapped mesh. Any tip? I would like to see how far the procedural could created directional blurred reflections. <?xml v...

Hi Ono, so the bump is created through a procedural map. Interesting - from my experience with Renderman procedurals can produce good results. Most of the time I use a combination of stretched blurred reflections and added a coarse bump map to the color channel. I added a link to a physical object. ...

I tested that one already. Till today - I never found any bump trick which provides the same stretched reflection that gets close to the metal work I do. Often in studio shots you see the scratches as some lines maybe but the reflection is finely blurred. If you think about it, imagine how fine the ...

Hey Ono

great work - I just came back to Indigo for one render project.

Out of curiosity - do you know when you might be able to introduce anisotropic reflections? I read about that you start having a new shader
language for Indigo.

Hey Big Fan,

thanks for your answer.

I am not disappointed - I was just surprised that Indigo still does not have any true anisotropic reflection.

So Indigo has a new shader language as you say?
I should look that up - I just came back to Indigo today.
used it a year ago.
