Hi ior,
Are you using MLT? It is near impossible to work with caustics without it.

Re: Caustics and fog dont render on reflection and refractio
With glass acceleration Indigo really rocks! :D Can't wait to see it applied to other emission objects. I modeled the room opening badly, that's why on the room opening, the bottom is illuminated by the sun, on the side there are reflections of the right side glasses. Once more, glass acceleration ...

Re: Blendigo for Blender 2.5 BETA
Hi Dougal2, How is the external render engine API doing from your perspective, and is it still being updated from what you have seen since the main developer working on the blender render engine left to work on Octane renderer or is it now at a stand still? To sum up the question, is the Blender bet...

Re: Caustics and fog dont render on reflection and refractio
OK here is my reflected caustics test, 30 minutes with a laptop.
I am also making use of glass acceleration. I have yet to run any comparisons with and without as of yet.

Re: Caustics and fog dont render on reflection and refractio
I see that developers moved a step towards the possibility off rendering refraction caustic effects by using Glass Accel. Right now, in version 2.6.1, there is still a problem with multiple refraction objects (glass windows or whatever glass object), the second object that refract the caustics is s...

Re: Trouble Rendering Objects Inside Glass
Ok so I just let the same render run overnight with glass acceleration, and the problem is completely cleared up in 10h with 11k spp (glass acceleration) vs not entirely cleared up with 14h and 17k spp (no glass acceleration).

Re: Trouble Rendering Objects Inside Glass
Hi OnoSendai, Thanks for the help, it seems you are right it is just taking an extra ordinary amount of time to clear the image and it looks worse before it looks better. I have also figured out that the problem only occurs where the caustics (shadow area) of the glass lands. Perhaps if I reduce the...

Re: Trouble Rendering Objects Inside Glass
An update: I have figured out that the issue at hand only occurs when the light is angled so that it goes through the glass first and then touches an object behind the glass. I have uploaded two comparisons, the scene is a simple sheet of glass and two balls, the glass has the "tinted green glass" m...

Trouble Rendering Objects Inside Glass
I am currently trying to render a glass piece with stone pebbles inside of it. The problem is the pebbles that are seen through the glass have a shiny quality even though they are using a Diffuse shader. The pebbles that are not seen through the glass appear as they should. It seems like the pebbles...

Re: August Competition - Modernism
Unfortunately I was unable to spend as much time as I would have liked to on this as I moved overseas to Switzerland one week into this project. Though it is incomplete, I did not want the concept to go to waste so I have simply refined what I could in order to show it. Unfortunately to meet the ren...

Blendigo - Unable To Change Background Color
I am using Blender 2.49, Blendigo 2.4.8. and Indigo 2.4.10 and no matter what I do I cannot change the environment from black. I have tried changing the background color, and I even tried using an environment map, the back is simply stuck at black. Is there something I am doing wrong or is this some...

Re: AAndres Entry
You know you are doing something right when people are discussing and debating over the furniture in the scene and not the quality and technicalities, so in that respect, good job. Do something about the overexposure of the lamp. It should look bright as I am sure you intend but details should be cl...

Re: [BUG] Material editor
I am encountering a similar problem in the mat editor. I created an sss material and I am trying to adjust the distance, but it is not saved, when I save the material and always returns to 0.100 with Indigo Version: Indigo Renderer v2.2.12, Windows 64-bit Release build. Maybe someone knows a workaro...
