Material renders dark with bump map

Please see attached jpg
any suggestions?
In the scene that I am working on, this tile comes out almost black.
I'd like to maintain the same color/shade of tile as the one on left but be able to show 'grout' via bump.
Thanks!

I have noticed similar behavior too. Its the inferencing in SU that goes bonkers!! And its quite erratic and difficult to recreate. Seems to kick in with heavy files though. My work around has been saving a page/scene where 'indigo width' is set to '0' "(i.e. no black bands on the sides on up/bottom...

I had the same problem Under Skindigo > Indigo Render Settings setting 'tracing method' as 'hybrid' seems to take care of this. although I have no idea what all these options mean...:D It would be nice to know what 'tracing method' really means...or what BiDir MLT/ BiDir PT/BiDir Hybrid reffer to......

Thanks for your comments! @BbB- I do want to make it less abstract. I wanted to reflect some trees in the glass but that meant putting a lot of 'blend' trees around which increased file size. Placing a huge jpg (of a treeline) didnt help either as it was casting a huge rectangular shadow. immaterial...

'Follow me' tool might come in handy. Creating a small curved surface (a bevel) perpendicular to the edge and use follow me. Sorry I cant demonstrate this with a visual right now. Gotta prepare for a meeting. Who keeps a meeting at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon?!!!!

At risk of stating something obvious, depending on at what stage your model is at, the number of segments in a curve can be changed. See attached.
If the curve is 'married' to some other geometry, then obviously cant change it. So yes, it does help to plan in advance!..:)
