Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Yeah...too much I guess. I'll correct that

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
It's a matte/oren-nayar material, correct?
Re: Simple Renderings Thread
I guess I have never taken a close look at water.. Well, this wasn't too hard to fix, but I think I like it better than the old way.
You probabaly won't get the title if you're not from the states/canada

Sure. Here's a screenshot from Max. Everything is reflective and prism is made of glass and animated. Light is inside that small grey tube.Doug Armand wrote: Any chance of sharing some more info about it was done?

Cool ani, that looks really interesting! How long does the rendering until you see the colored light rays? And what setting you use for the glass and light. And what sizes scale as that ? I have also tried to build a prism, but I have not succeeded. For more information, I am grateful.

Awesome anim, suv!
Re: Simple Renderings Thread
The rendering time was 4 minutes per frame on 2 quad core cpu's using Bidir MLT. Rays appeared during the first 10-20 seconds of rendering.Camox wrote:Cool ani, that looks really interesting! Settings for glass:
Code: Select all
<ior>1.53</ior>
<cauchy_b_coeff>0.08</cauchy_b_coeff>
<absorption_coefficient_spectrum>
<rgb>
<rgb>0.0 0.0 0.0</rgb>
<gamma>1.0</gamma>
</rgb>
Scale was quite randomly picked. The width of the prism is about 400mm.
Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Thanks for the information. I will try to recreate it. Perhaps I'll succeed this time.

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Here is my result after 2 minutes. I made a really stupid mistake, cauchy_b_coeff was off.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
