[BUG] Indigo fail to read 32 Bit TIFF/EXRs
Indigo had a major bump in speed when using backgrounds, but it now breaks when using EXRs (and don't acknowledge 32 bits TIFF). It would be good to be able to use at least EXRs again.

32bit .exr-files work for me, using latest indigo. BUT: using .exr-files seems to use A LOT more RAM than before. Some big exr-backgrounds that worked fine with free versions of indigo were not usable with latest versions anymore. But yesterday I spent the whole day installing Windows 7 64bit to finally use all my RAM and it works again
But even a simple scene lit with exr uses more than 1 GB now...

Re: [BUG] Indigo fail to read 32 Bit TIFF/EXRs
Maybe the EnvMap Renderspeed optimization kick in with higher RAM usage introduced in 2.x
Anyway... 32bit Tiff are not supported... I don't know if 16bit tiffs (and PNGs) even don't get clampd, like it was some time ago in Indigo 1.x. 16bit PNG support is (regarding file size) more impoertant.
Cindigo had some issues in the last version(s??) using EXR as background materials... should be fixed for next cindigo version!
I actually can report Indigo Crash using EXR as <env_map> and ExitPortals!!!

Code: Select all
