another pool house

Post by Camox » Wed May 06, 2009 2:32 am

Here is my latest project. A simple pool house in German style. For the modeling I have 3 days needed. The rendering time was about 9 hours with indigo 1.1.18. Thank you for a look. :)

Yes, I agree with others - very nice image.
I like the color of the water. So tropical :wink:

Very nice looking Camox ! I'm wondering how the roof tiles were done.

Thank you for your comments. :D
Here is a picture with postpro and chromatic aberration.

@CTZn
The bricks have been with a c4d plugin called TuileGEN created.
No idea whether it is also for maya and 3dmax there.

Oh! Awesome render! Any chance of randomizing the roof tiles so they are not so exact and perfect? I think this would go a long way toward realism...

A question about TuileGen: How did you create the rims on top at the slanted sides?

@Phr0stByte
Unfortunately this does not work. You can only change the brick form, an anomaly can not produce.
This is not the best roofGen but free of charge. :)

@zeitmeister
I have a series of bricks created and then scaled. This is relatively simple, one has only to the extent of tile ensured. Thats all... :wink:

Hi Camox:

The grass is modeling or displace?

Tony.

I suppose it's billboard grass planes?

Yes, thanks for your answers Camox ! I found a similar script for Maya:

I didn't test it tho.

Almost correct. :)
This is a small area with grass, which I with indigo instances on the whole area was distributed.
The grass surface was created with a hair plugin.
