Yet more lightbulbs...

Post by Doug Armand » Wed Dec 31, 2008 9:38 pm

Indigo 1.1.14
Blender 2.48
Blendigo 1.1.14

HDR for the environment reflection in glass, an emitter, with a yellow colour, applied to the lit filament. Took a lot of experimenting to get the balance right between the two :?

oh and my usual overprocessing in PShop including the hint of lens flare - hope it ain't too much for the purists out there

Looks good, although bulbs don't stand up like this in real life

How did you make the glass part? Is it a closed volume or does it have a thickness?

Modelled in Blender - it has very thin thickness. I tried using a solid object but as you can guess it gave weird effects

BTW I much prefer Blender over Max for modelling - not that I am that good in either of them
