Emissive Blend not a light?

Post by Borgleader » Wed Jun 30, 2010 5:10 am

I was making a new test scene with a modified version of the holographic material suvakas made a while back, and I ran into a little problem.

The scene is really simple it's three planes each with a variant of the material now each material is a "light" in itself as it's a blend between null and emissive phong. Now my problem is that it says my scene must contain a light source even though there are three of them present :?

P.S: Before you ask yes environment is set to "None (lit by mesh emitters)"
P.P.S: The name of the blender material also matches the name of the blend material inside the .igm

Perhaps are you using an older Indigo version wich IIRC wasn't checking into IGM's for emission ? If exporting to IGM is an option then try without.

Blends of emissive phong with null mat are working for me with Indigo 2.2.12 (2.0 stable, w/ or w/o exporting to IGM)...

Indigo 2.4.4
Blendigo 2.4.3

The material was edited using the material editor. and well the material types are set to external because i downloaded the original material off of the indigo forums...

Then post your files.
Looked like you had other lights in that scene.

Yeah in the version I posted but while I was building it it originally had the fence only as a light then i added other mesh light but it started only with that.

Use white or uniform base emission. Also invert your blend map.
