is this a 3D [procedural] wood shader on the driver?

No, its just a wood texture map with a light bump which didnt show at all :(

Thats such a good image - shows all those biased users what DoF should really look like. Nice image

mmm thats something I wanted to aks.... In this case what would make a more appealing image strong DoF? Light DoF? what should I Focus? etc...

I think the DoF you have is spot on - if it were me I would rotate the camera about 45% or so on Z axis to give the image added ooommph :-) but thats just me :wink:
