Small performance problems

Post by asaavedra » Mon Mar 15, 2010 12:19 am

Hello friends of Indigo:

First off, sorry for the English so strange, is an automatic translation from Spanish to English.

I'm new using Indigo and I have a lifetime license with two slave nodes.
I have some problems from the beginning, I could not solve or their recommendations or with the manuals.

The computers I use are Mac Pro Intel Xeon 2.66 GHz, if this information helps.

Using SketchUp Pro 7.0 with Skindigo 2.2.12 and rendering with Indigo 2.2.12.

The problems are:

- When working on Network Rendering, the two slave nodes do not work
- I can not remove the WaterMark
- In Skindigo, the button "Render with Indigo" does not work

These are the operational problems which I hope will help me to solve, for absolutely enjoy with Indigo.

Thank you very much.

Indigos network code doesnt searches the whole spectrum of possible IPs...
Best way to solve this is to tell the slave the direct IP of the master via command line!
simply right Click the slave link and open the app (not start, open!). Inside you'll find some folders and a file that you can open in a text editor... here you have to add the commandline for direct IP connection... save and start it... done!

I'm not at a Mac at the moment so sorry for this not very detailed explanation :/

You can only render from your Master licensed Computer without watermark... starting from a slave will end up with a watermarked image!
starting Indigo manually without starting a scene will show you a big Indigo Logo with your licens situation explained underneath... check here if everything is as it should be!

Zom-B Thanks, but excuse my stupidity, I do not understand where I place the IP.
I attach a picture to help me clarify.

When I double clik on the icon of Indigo Network Client will not start any app. try to open but no window appears, it is possible that the link is broken?

Deputy Home Image Indigo with license information, for what it's worth.
Both Skindigo as in the advanced button Indigo watermark is disabled.
The render I alone with the master computer. What is it?

Hey Augusto,

I just made a screen shot for your IP issue:

The Screen you posted about your license:

You have a Indigo 2.x license NOT a lifetime license!
Also this Computer is licensed as a Node ( that means slave node), so images you start to render here get a watermark!

Thanks for the translation Jota :D

It looks like you may have your licences mixed up - that would be the reason for the watermark problems. A 'Node' licence is for the slaves only (ie: network slaves).
I can confirm you do indeed have a lifetime licence, if you would like to switch them around, send us an email at support@indigorenderer.com

Also if the button in SketchUp does not work, it could be because Indigo is not installed in the usual location. Try and re-install SkIndigo and make sure the Indigo filepath is correct.

Thanks Zom-B to detect the problem, thanks Jota for the translation and thanks Soup to clarify the problem.
I have received new keys to reinstall properly and a problem has been fixed. :D

I have a computer master with fulltime and two nodes.
The watermark does not appear.
But the nodes do not run.

Zom-B attached image will "Indigo Network Client" to help me enter data correctly the IP. If that's the problem.

Soup: how to check if the Indigo filepath is correct :?:

Hi Asaavedra,

Can you confirm whether you have a firewall disabled on your node licence PCs and also on the network master PCs? I think you need port 7000, 7100 and 7777 open for both UDP and TCP. :)

Hello Friends, thanks for caring about my problem.
I am just a user, no programming and I am not computer expert.
I need explaining to do. Finding the appropriate port ...
why Indigo folder does not exist on the slave ...
What is the filepath as verify that is correct ....

Thanks
