There are some attributes that make more sense then others, but yes... the frame upload comes to mind.

Imagine that you've exported a scene, will you export it again just because you wanted to change say, max_depth or large_mutation? You might want to extend/shorten the halt_samples_per_pixel or halt_time due to something that come between. Change from MLT to PT. Change turbidity value, or the camera f-stop. Even if not on the fly it would be welcome that some of these attributes could be changed without having to dwell into the xml file, or having to make the changes and export it again, when for the sake of a few values you have to export all scene.

Sounds very reasonable Pixie.
Eventually all suitable parameters will be accessible from the GUI.

this would be a big step forward, changing some parameters on the fly!

Oh no, no, no..... please not :-P

I was referring to renderengine related parameters, not scene based changes!

Could you please do 32bit and 64 builds for the mac version?
More and more people are switching to 10.6 Snow Leopard... plus, do you plan making steps towards OpenCL?

We're working on the Mac builds currently. And yes, there is some work being done on OpenCL: acceleration.

Yeah, 32-bit is done, basically, but 64-bit is a pain in the back and the mac vm is being a bitch :S

just got a step closer.
