http://www.refractivesoftware.com/videos.htmlRefractive Software (www.refractivesoftware.com) is proud to announce Octane Render. It's a GPU accelerated, unbiased, interactive render engine. It renders at speeds of 10 to 15 times faster than other CPU unbiased render engines.
Octane Render can load any scene exported in the Obj format. I created the video for the site by exporting a scene from the latest Blender 2.5 Trunk and the object export worked flawlessly.
Feel free to check out the website gallery and post questions on either this thread or on the forum at the website for Octane Render.
Thanks for checking it out.
Sincerely:

Looks rather yummy.
Some digging around the forum taught me Glare's looking into GPU rendering too.

There's some very familiar names on that website

Re: New kid on the block (GPU Renderer)
Poorly its CUDA only atm, and also single GPU usage without CPU support..
Anyway, a price of 200€ for the full v1 release brings quite some benefits
I'm also interested how unbaised a rendering is with max ray bounces of 8 (max of 64)
Looking forward to Glares GPU rendering stuff... someday... somehow...
vray, lux and now Octane.
I wont buy another GPU until Indigo will support it ^^

Re: New kid on the block (GPU Renderer)
Even it's a bit of topic. I like the idea to render two projects on one workstation. One more complex scene
using the CPU and needs a bit more time and the other will render a more simple scene on the GPU.
The good thing is both jobs will make cash. Well, lets see how it works.

Man, GPU acceleration is really picking up speed. I hope indigo isn't too far behind.
Re: New kid on the block (GPU Renderer)
EDIT : I really like the "studio" look of it. The speed of GPU rendering really lends itself to it too.. You make changes to your scene and it shows them almost instantly.

Re: New kid on the block (GPU Renderer)
Egad! I think I know what I'm saving up for now... better video card maybe? Anyone know what the difference between GeForce and Quadro would be for this kind of stuff except the obvious price difference? I hear they are very similar except for different drivers...
Re: New kid on the block (GPU Renderer)
I recognize some of the pictures there from our Finished Projects forum.
Did you guys re-render it using Octane? (enricocerica?)
