Re: Green living
Im having some touble with importing into su.. Obj importing doesn't really work (my plugin tends to give up at around 40 thousand polies or something).. is the built in 3ds importing better?
Re: Green living
Great render. As for the right side- perhaps try a wood texture on the cabinets, and a painting similar to the one in the living room placed on the far right wall?
I also like Zeitmeister's idea of adding some kind of staircase.

Re: Green living
Neo0 simply wants to know some additional stats about the scene, zeit. Neo, I don't know at the moment: nest time I will gather some info for you. I usually import max models in 3ds format, but this doesn't save any UVmapping unfortunately. So for complex surfaces I'm forced to use only plain colours (see plant's foliage).
Staircase could do the job..if I find a nice architectural meaning

Re: Green living
Hi guys!
This is the latest image. Some progresses ongoing: I've mostly worked on the right part of the scene, adding some details and stuff to resolve "architecturally" the portion of the image. What do you think?
Originally rendered 1800xsomething, SSF 1, 4 light layers. Minor corrections in PS, as usual.

Re: Green living
Great image Pibuz and nice atmosphere, I would do the books a bit smaller and some more indirect light in the kitchen would be nice imo.
Re: Green living
Yes, great image but make the books and box of cereal a little bit smaller.

Re: Green living
Oh, this is a great idea... wonderful! It's getting close to perfection, I'd say!
Cheers, David

Re: Green living
My dear Zeit, perfection is still not ahead, I've really got to learn A LOT from the pros. REALLY.
BTW I'm glad you like the new configuration, I hope to optimize the scene and launch the final render before the 6th of January.

amazing work!
Re: Green living
I was wondering.. How do you prevent your colors from being washed out with the lighting? Im having trouble with everything becoming different shades certain color.. I think the colors in your render, are really great pibuz. I haven't been able to achieve the same level of contrast yet..
Re: Green living
Don't be so shy! I definitely feel that your renders are on a pro level. I really like how your scene developed and how it turned out so far. Excellent result!Pibuz wrote:My dear Zeit, perfection is still not ahead, I've really got to learn A LOT from the pros. REALLY.

There is always more to learn. I can definitely say that when I look at some of Enrico's renders that he calls uncreative kitsch I am about ready to throw my computer out of the window and abandon the whole CG thing

What he said...and I mean it, SERIOUSLY... WHAT ... HE ... SAID! I am darn glad I am sitting down when I'm on the computer or else my ass would hit the floor when I see your renders it's pro level period. Much to learn you still have? Yeah there is but see the fact that you know you do is a good thing, an artist that thinks he's learned everything as gone blind. No one is ever perfect and you can never learn everything. My wish is that you keep on working your magic and bring us more of theseHeadroom wrote:Don't be so shy! I definitely feel that your renders are on a pro level.
