Re: Cindigo Wishlist
I talked with Ritter about this problem/feature too and would appreciate that!
I think it would better refer to real world photography, and so to the common sense of Indigo.

Re: Cindigo Wishlist
Haha,
an urgent point from me for the wishlist:
A function to replace C4D instances with Cindigo instances. In C4D.
And vice versa, if possible.
This would be awesome!

Re: Cindigo Wishlist
Yeah, agreed, would be awesome. Its pretty complicated tho (because of nesting of instances and such fun things).zeitmeister wrote:Haha,

I could introduce an option in the export settings that cindigo, if enabled, treats C4D instances as Indigo Instances. This would apply to all instances in a scene. Might cause some unexpected results (deformed instances and such would not work).

Re: Cindigo Wishlist
Ah, you told me about that a while ago... but you solved this problem with your Cindigo-instances, didn't you? They are able to be deformed by deformers?
Cheers, David

Re: Cindigo Wishlist
I don't quite get why would an instance be deformed by a deformer, wouldn't it go against the actual meaning of instance? You might as well have a copy of your object if you want to deform it.zeitmeister wrote:Ah, you told me about that a while ago... but you solved this problem with your Cindigo-instances, didn't you? Re: Cindigo Wishlist
In some cases this could be very useful; I think that MoGraph is handling objects in some cases this way... but I don't own it, so I can't define it really.
Cheers, David

Re: Cindigo Wishlist

Re: Cindigo Wishlist
this one will really help,great work!
Any chance to get the "depth style" camera to calculate the sharp area in the dof field?
I don't know if this is possible or even makes any sense ^^

Yep, it is possible.
It just needs some extra math. I'd be interested in correct equations too. Someone knows a link maybe?

I really tried to push fused to do it yesterday still... he was just not in the mood to do itZomB wrote:this one will really help,great work!

Even showed him the calcs and stuff so it will probably be implemented very soon
Suv I've got one but its in german... Schärfentiefe berechnen
Essentially,
f = focal distance
κ = f-number
g = target distance
and
d in that Z equation is the diagonal of your picture in mm

Re: Cindigo Wishlist
It would be nice to see such support for correct camera focus in Cindigo!
