Duh-rika, Duh-piphany...strange error message decoded

Post by scatman » Fri Aug 21, 2009 12:36 pm

If you receive an error like below when trying to apply a material to a mesh:

Error: SceneLoaderExcep: The Mesh 'GrpBeadsA.121' tried to use the material 'glassR', which has not been defined. (In element 'model', around line 700473, column 5)

I have a fix-->The problem is that a material was added with "OB" selected in the Blender GUI, instead of adding the material with "ME" selected. In the Blender GUI, in the Links and Pipeline section, delete the material with "OB". Now make sure that "ME" is selected (it will appear white when selected) and add the material in the Blender GUI. Finally add the material in the Indigo GUI as well.

I hope everyone already knows this... :?
