Participating media test:

Render time: 2 hrs 30 on a dual core CPU, so it's kinda slow, hopefully I can speed it up tho.

It's in this thread 'cause it uses exactly the same code as SSS :)

p.s.
If you look carefully you can see a secondary volume caustic to the right of the glass sphere caused by light reflected from the chrome sphere :)

Wow. I can picture a street at night, lit by street lamps, slight fog and snow fall. Wow.

zomg! so cool! And it seem my theory was right... we will be able to use SSS for fog and stuff like that? Because participating media is basicaly sub-surface scattering without the surface, right? :p If we ca put the IOR at 1 with a low scattering it could be used as fog, clouds, smoke, etc.

I cant wait, do a pre-release for the love of my sanity lol

I've just been hit by SSS and volumetric media in the same thread.

Time for bed I think - see if it is still there in the morning. :D
