"Brisas del Isabela" :: Architectural Urban Projec
Hello, I guess is time for me to stop lurking the forum and start showing some renders.
This are from my last university proyect. It is an urban development to take place on a 347,000 square meters riverside terrain and should host a population of 16,000 persons. I won' t bother you with all the architectural details. Cutting to the chase, we (my design partner and me) designed 3 apartment building typologies, a humongus commercial center and a river "marina", plus all the landscaping and such.
The Comercial Center
Exterior View

Interior View (main atrium)
Interior View (secondary atrium)
Apartments, Type "A"
Apartments, Type "B"
Apartments, Type "C"
I did the whole design for the comercial center and the exterior design of "Type A" is my work also. Exterior design of "Type B" and "C" are my partner's work and I just collaborated on the interior design. We did the Marina together, but due to time constrains it was left in drawings onlu, no 3D for it.
All renderings are Sunsky, with default settings. All (together) were rendered over a 24h period on a renderfarm made off a 4.2 GHz Pentium IV, a 2.1 GHz Pentium 4, a 3.4 GHz pentium 4 (Laptop) and another laptop I cann't recall the specifications right now.
All opinions are wellcome

looks good, pretty cool designs!
itd be nice to have some simple context (like a clay site model) just to put them in their place. also the windows on apartment C bother me but thats a design issue and not really my business. they just look 'punched in'. i see the verticality of the spaces between the windows but if youd extend the actual windwos vertically so they meet with the floor slabs, they would also form continuous vertical bands.
also, the interiors for the commercial center look a bit dark, so the space comes off as being a bit claustrophobic. try brightening it up in post pro or even brighten up the interior materials.
just my two cents, overall looks great!

No, Behrendt. I don't like the Spurs. In fact, I hate football! I know. Weird.Behrendt wrote:btw. @ DaveC

My web host has been kind of sloppy lately, they should be 11 images in total. Other than telling you to hit "Refresh" there isn't much I can do about it.DaveC wrote:I can't see any images
StompinTom, you are right about those windows looking weird. They wey put in a hurry to meet the deadline. Actually everthing on this proyect could be improved if more time is put into it, but after expending 4 months on it, none of us feels like ever touching it again.
And the interior looks dark because there isn't a single electrical light source on. The building is just too big to be efectively covered by the natural light of the sun. Again we didn't have time to put propper lighting (meshlights) in place.
