Cindigo 1.1.18 - stable RC1

Post by fused » Sun Mar 08, 2009 9:14 am

Cindigo 1.1.18 - stable RC1
for Indigo 1.1.17 and Indigo 1.1.18

download exporter:
Pc Version
Mac Version - no mac version available yet!

PC version contains plugins for R10(32 and 64 bit) and R9(32 bit). (R9 users will have to rename the "cindigo.cdl_R9" to "cindigo.cdl")
Make sure you have the newest version of quicktime installed! Previews will not work with the 64 bit version bacause of the lack of 64 bit quicktime.

Good beginner tutorials can be found here (german and english, a bit outdated)

a big "thank you" goes out to PureSpider, who did a great job and coded lots of useful stuff for this release!

I will update the Indigo utils code very soon, which should solve these problems.

fused and PureSpider - thank you very much for all the work you have put into this !

One little problem: I have a complex model (with parametric stuff, lots of instances and symmetry, possibly booleans) that I wanted to test with the new version.
I renamed cindigo.cdl_R9 to cindigo.cdl
I choose to convert all materials, selected the path to indigo 1.1.17 and selected start indigo.
Then pressed export and Cinema 4D R9.102 crashed reproducible.

A mesh folder has been created containing 4 igmesh files, but certainly not all geometry (why can't I open the mesh files in cinema like in the earlier versions ?).

Any idea ?

Nags:
on materials, when one select preview it always get the same default parameter and isn't saved as for example export dialog. If one press enter it cancels instead of proceeding...
When importing igm, it would be nice to select only from igm and pigm filetype instead from having to chose from all files.

Probs:
If verbose is set to false there's no preview.
Shaders in imported igm's doesn't apply.
