Wow, nice work. BTW, the led shader would make a nice addition to the DB.. Just saying. :)

It looks like an RGB emitter, but im not sure what "gain" translates to in skindigo..

Maybe this will make more sense:

Code: Select all

        <material>
                <name>led_blue</name>
                <diffuse>
                        <albedo>
                                <constant><rgb>
                                        <rgb>0.7 0.7 0.7</rgb>
                                        <gamma>2.2</gamma>
                                </rgb></constant>
                        </albedo>
                        <base_emission>
                                <constant>
                                        <rgb>
                                                <rgb>0.000000 1039999365.806580 6400000095.367432</rgb>
                                                <gamma>1</gamma>
                                        </rgb>
                                </constant>
                        </base_emission>
                        <layer>1</layer>
                </diffuse>
        </material>

Don't ask me where the colours come from, I'll see what comes up with a better convergence. All triangles of the sphere are sharing the same 3 UVs, the sphere itself is a meshlight (woops) using the "laser.ies", from someone here but I don't remember who :?

There is a laser ies? :shock:

Does it really emit parallel light rays?

A Lite-brite. Does anyone remember these? They were a really popular toy back in the 70's and 80's.

Hey Dom, check out this Tutorial how to get a nicer Floor. I still don't think yours is very convincing atm ;-)

This Floor Material was done the same way.

Jo CTZn... before you get a new avatar, pleas tell us what your actual one is ;-)

There is a laser ies?
Kind of, since it's an ies rays can't be parallel, but it has a angles of 1° so it's interesting enough. Found it, you can thank alex22:

Hey sure, it's about time to ask :D The last render has 2 years and 2 weeks, from rensersphere tests. It uses Indigo 0.7test4, liked both noise and shade, conceptually :)

Follows the more converged render, this explaining that...

PS: hey, don't take the new avatar too seriously, it's a try out, not sure I'm liking it (kind of common). Ah, changed. I like that one.
