Hi

Im trying to render a scene in indgio through the blendigo exporter and using the indigo_console. After a while i get the error message below and the render doesnt start

IndigoDriverExcep: SceneLoaderExcep: No 'spectrum' element found in meshlight element. (In element 'meshlight', around line 390928, column 5)
Fatal Error: IndigoDriverExcep: SceneLoaderExcep: No 'spectrum' element found in meshlight element. (In element 'meshlight', around line 390928, column 5)

Does anyone know what the the problem is?

not blender, blendigo!

Anyways I suggest you try a more recent versions like:
Indigo 1.1.15
Blendigo 1.1.14

If the problem still persists than maybe Smart can take a look at it.

ok, thats downloading, but i cant use the latest version of blendigo because im using mandriva linux which comes with blender 2.47 and the 1.1.14 exporter requires 2.48, which i can't install until the mandriva repositories are updated... :(

ok, it gets slightly further now and then says:

Error: IndigoDriverExcep: SceneLoaderExcep: ModelLoadingStreamHandlerExcep: UV set with index 0 was exposed, but the UV set data was not provided. (In element 'mesh', around line 324, column 5)

any ideas?

if i got that correctly, your mesh has a uv set attached to it but its empty. so youre telling your texture "use this UV set" but it has no information in it so indigo still doesnt know how to map it.

i think its that...

ok. i tried 2 things. i realised that the UV texture wasnt in the indigo folder, so i moved it there, but the problem persisted, then i deleted the object with the UV texture, and it still persisted, then i tried the default blender scene with one cube and a sun light, it still came up with the same message :? i have one last thing to test though, so ill do that then post the results.

Thanks for all the help so far btw :D

edit:
ok, my last resort didnt help, so how do i solve the problem of there being no information about the texture?[/quote]

Ok thats really odd. You're getting a uv error message in a scene that uses absolutely no textures? :?

Could you somehow upload your blender scene so that we can take a look at it? Doesnt have to be the original, just one that does give you the error message.

Have you tried unwrapping your mesh? You don't have to put a texture on it though.

Go into face select mode (when in object mode press 'f') then press 'u' and choose 'unwrap'

Right-o but he shouldnt getting that error if opened blender's default scene and pressed export. Which is what i think he tried.
