In the above renderings i uses Cindigos instances, because i needed to include an external .ply file.

When you are instancing C4D objects, it doesnt matter if you use C4D's or cindigos instances, internally they are handled the same way.
When it comes to heavy instancing, one should use cindigos, because of the memory C4Ds instances use (they actually duplicate the object in memory, imagine what happens if you try to make 100 instances of a 1million poly mesh).

Great Job, as always!
Instances are working very well here; even rotated by XPresso … wonderful.
Textures don't have to be situated in the same folder as the models.
Polygon selections and multi-materials are supported … this fuckin rocks!

fused, are there any other mapping functions supported than UV-mapping?

hello fused, thanks for your hard work.
I was playing yesterday with a scene that worked fine in 1.1.13 PC versions of Indigo and Cindigo, but when I switched to 1.1.14 Indigo crashed with some of the instanced objects while other instances didn't send error message, Indigo said that it couldn't load a mesh that indeed didn't exist in the meshes folder.
can you check this?, all objects with instance problem were imported.
Thanks again.
