A clamp down Jar. My most complicated model so far... The glass is too perfect for a jar, but I'm going to try and add a Ball logo using a displacement map.

Some more simple renders. I'm slowing working on a "Candy Shelf in an Old Country Store" scene. I probably won't use M&M's, since I don't see them as "Old Fashioned" candy. I'm thinking rock candy, peppermint sticks... any other suggestions? What might you find in an old country store?

Looks good. Make sure you give the glass a little bit of absorption, to make it more realistic.

Thanks for the feedback Ono. More absorption coming up...

Here's my first attempt at rock candy. It's too thick, but I think I achieved the right look. There are a few black areas , most likely due to normals problems.

Understand that that type of sugar is not always 100% polished you should probably add some diffuse scratches on the surface to increase the realism also the frequency of the "ridges" is too high, it looks too big. Besides that really cool :)

I'm trying to learn how to use indigo more and just wanted to compare a scene between vray and indigo.

I didn't mean it as destructive but as surprised ;) Interesting choice of colours and a bit different (but less UNusual) lighting method... Is up there a mesh-light or is it sunlit + exit portal?
