Rendering over the internet

Post by Thexa4 » Fri Aug 08, 2008 12:45 pm

I am trying to render a scene with a master and a client.
The server was started using this code:

Code: Select all

indigo "scene/indigo_gpu.max-scene.igs" -n m -p 29500
The clients are launched using this code:

Code: Select all

indigo -n s -h ip:29500
This works as long as the scene is in exactly the same folder on the computer that runs the client.
The problem is that indigo doesn't transfer the scene to the clients when indigo cannot find it.
Is there a way to solve that?

Yes, scene transfer was not an issue (and we used simple scenes for testing, from testscenes folder). Frame transfer was a biiig issue :)

aslocum asked for "delta" compression for frames... dunno what this is but any sort of frame compression would help a great deal here.
