INDIGO Vs MAXWELL RENDER

A litle test between indigo and maxwell render, attaches real photo and the result of maxwell... and indigo result in 2 h.

but definitely something is wrong with the colors or white balance

Yes, looks good! I guess the gamma of the colors is not reversed, you could
use a texture as workaround or reverse the gamma by hand. And I agree
with Adam the whitebalance should be changed too, I can see alot off red there. ;o)

maxwell have cool real glow from light. it is possible add glow to indigo, Nick? I think it is hard, but would be great. Indigo have too much roughnes edges(the same in Blender renderer...)

But, unfortunatly, only the photo contain nice hard black edges of cube...

The glow (bloom) is pretty easy, just takes a while to process.
Will add it in someday :)

here is my test.
I buit the sceny by my own (yuupi) trying to make the proportions looks like in the photo.

It took 19 minutes to render it and mutations_per_sec: 48197.42089

How do you do the glare effect?

there is no glare effect :) just light glance on back wall.

I just take care of proper modeling. This kind of light bulb isn't a typical cylinder but 3 small "U-type" cylinders.

1st decent cut of glare has been coded in.
Next release we should be able to do this scene as well as maxwell :)
