Indigo 1.1.6

Post by OnoSendai » Mon Jul 21, 2008 10:12 am

NOTE: this is a *test / beta* release. If you want a build that works smoothly with exporters, get the last stable release from the main download page in the download menu.

windows 32 bit:

windows 64 bit:
http://www.indigorenderer.com/joomla/in ... &Itemid=62

Changelog:

1.1.6
* disabled old-stlye glare and bloom
* materials can now emit light
* added EXR as supported texture format.
* network rendering now transfers (packed) scene file over network
* updated GUI: integrated interactive tonemapping, open/close scene, pause/resume render
* energy loss stuff is only computed if phong exponent param is a constant parameter.
* added shaders
* layer blending

I'll start slowly adding explanations of how to use the various new things.
In the mean time, check out layer_blending_test.igs for an example of layer blending, and albedo_shader_test.igs for a shader example.

Fixing normal import for .objs, and fixing sub-d is definitely on my TODO list, I'll probably do that next.

And special thanks for that:
* updated GUI: integrated interactive tonemapping, open/close scene, pause/resume render
And the "* layer blending", if it is what I think! 8)

Excellent, thanks Ono. The EXR support is most welcome. :) And the networking support too. 8)

Nice release boss!

OMFG playing with the light layer blending now, it's awesome! Thank you SO much. No more infinite tweaking before final render :D :D

Ono, I tried to render the scene I rendered in 1.1.5:

and the glass is black so far. I use MTL. Any clue? Nice update. One suggestion numeric input would be useful.

good progress ono -first comments-

stop and pause dont seem to work here and the Indigo icon is missing from the .exe?

I would appreciate if the bottom left panel was narrowed up to just after the layer7 so you can see the render progress commentary without pulling the window right out to a widescreen format

Vegetable Navaratan Korma
Lamb Madras
Vegetable Platter for two
Keema Naan
Plain Naan
????

EDIT: very cool so far regards 'realtime' adjustments

EDIT2: your emitting_material_test example has a wrong texture name or is missing from the folder.

EDIT3: no.2 edit also applies to flux and luminance .igs as well
