Oh BTW guys, just discovered this the other day.
On the main screen, with the two icons, you can drag the background with LMB.
Try spinning it very fast. Some weird guys appears briefly. XD

I tried a creation but it had too many parts... btw, it's still not working on my computer :( I got it running at school xD (Though, that wont help me much, so short before the summer holidays :(

Great Mantis :D I already found out that trick about getting a custom mouth by double-mouth, before :D
That combining of the legs + selling parts of it was great info :)

I've been trying to figure that one out CoolColJ

The data must simply be in the png metadata, but I havent looked to confirm my guess.

nothing unusual there, unless it's been stripped from the file you posted somehow.

How do you get that out? Could you maybe convert image to bmp and back and see what changes?

This is one theory:

Sounds rather plausible.

interesting....
But how can they ensure that the creature itself stays looking "opaque" over the whole area, without loosing too much room for the creature itself to encode all the info?...

btw, interesting pics, CCJ.
Are both vehicles or is the lower one an actual creature? Could be both xD
Edit: Oh, both are creatures O.o I wonder how they're done...
(And further, how they walk^^ - the chair also looked interesting)

Ah, so it's not in the metadata.

Instead, it's steganography.

English Voice is much better than the German one...

btw... if you're interested, here are my creatures...
(some of them are just edits from the already included Maxis creatures and one of them is made by my younger sister (7 since the day before yesterday^^), but most are completely made by me... Only a handful of them *really* satisfy me, though...)
