Official Indigo Material Preview Scene

Post by OnoSendai » Tue May 27, 2008 11:57 am

Hi all,
drBouvierLeduc has made some finishing touches to his material preview scene, so here it is: the official Indigo material preview scene.

It's attached to this forum post.
It's available as both an .igs file and .blend file inside the .zip.

If you want to upload materials to the Official Indigo material database, then you *must* use this scene for rendering the preview image.

Thanks all for the super-long wait in creating an official scene, and thanks again to the dr for an awesome scene.

EDIT: updated .zip file to contain new material preview IGS that works with Indigo v1.1.5.

Thanks, boss and Dr. :)

The texture paths have to be changed in blendigo manually, for anyone testing from there. Just a heads up.

just a note to skindigo users, you will need to rename the exposed uv set for the preview sphere and preview base from 'uv' to 'default' in order to use maps on the preview...

only hiccup so far. thanks for sharing the official scene!! :D

For some reason, I find it impossible to edit the UVs in Blender. It sends my whole system grinding to a halt...

Ati video card?
He, he. No video card at all on the piece of crap I'm using now. (But it handles UVs even for big objects respectably most of the tiem).

Hey BbB, I have the same issue. It used to work fine with blender 2.45, so I guess it's related to 2.46 and it's new uv-display mode.
The only way I found was to remake the uv-projection from scratch (wich is a simple sphere-projection in that case).

I'll have a go now. Slapping myself for dumping 245.

Any chance to change the tonemapping of the scene to linear?
