Blends with Null / Alpha mapped materials

Post by dougal2 » Tue May 20, 2008 1:25 am

I'm afraid to say that support for this in MtI is incomplete.

Blends between 2 materials are possible using a layeredShader. To use a blend map between the two, connect a file texture to the layeredShader's first child node's transparency attribute. (or to the Blend Factor attribute if you're using an indigoShader).

Blending with nulls is not possbile at present because there's no "null" type in indigoShader yet. This should be quite easy to implement, I'll do it soon :)

I've just added the null material support to MtI - that was a trivial addition.

I'm not sure that a file texture on indigoShader's Blend Factor is supported yet though. I'll take a closer look later when I'm not at work.

maybe you need add text-field to indigoShader - the feature for Copy/Paste shader-text )
