The exhibitionist's bathroom
This actually exists. I modelled it from a photo. Again, not much to say except I was keen to play with lots of vegetation. Most of the trees are modelled, though there is a jpg plane at the back to provide a bit of a backdrop.
All this glass and alpha leaves killed render times so I rendered at a lower res than usual. I picked the wrong white balance for the sunny one (and didn't save an igi) so it was colour-corrected in PShop. Also some minor adjustments to the interior one, which was lit with an HDRI. Only that one has diffraction aperture on. Hope you like them...

I'm going to use this scene as a test for the shift lens, faster alpha map render, and displacement when the new features come out.

God no, I didn't model the trees, and using the Ivy generator doesn't count as modeling. While we're on this, I didn't model the butterfly stool either. The rest was all done in Blender. (I'm taking a close look at XFrog for future trees, but I must say the latest tree package from evermotion looks gorgeous. I just wish they were cheaper.)

Hi mate. If you mean the water, no it doesn't have bump. It's a volume with the top surface displaced using a very simple water displacement map. It doesn't even have a lot of subdivision, something like 300,000 polys.

Thanks man. Sleeping? Naaaaaaaaah.

Haven't been messing with ZB for a while. I might do soon, though, so that you like me again

Thanks master. As I said, this should be a good test for your alpha leave improvement.

I was pretty lucky there. The caustics just showed up, as they should - which is the kind of thing that makes me love Indigo so much. I was lucky for the vegetation too as it just happened to blend well with the jpg plane at the back. Doing such things can look unnatural if the plane and the leave textures are not exactly in the same colour space.

Cool. By far the finest piece of vegetation rendered with indigo I've seen. It gives a very nice and soft mood to your shot. Btw what material did you use for the leaves ? A mix of diffuse transmitter and phong ?
I did a few tests myself, but it's hard to find some decent tree models, and I hardly could master free softwares like nplant, arbaro and such.

Hi Doc. Yes, diffuse trans+phong it is.
If you're patient, you can find some pretty decent tree models here http://archidom.net/ddd/mod_tree7.htm (some need some work). The best free models by far are here http://graphics.uni-konstanz.de/plantslib/. I would just go there and download everything. But be careful, some of them are really heavy.
And tell me, what happened to your lakeside villa?
