I'm not sure, can you copy+paste the full output from the script window ?
(ie, to see what MtI was doing when it stopped)

Thanks, but I solved the issue. Issue caused by some old Mental Ray mats still stored in Hypershade. Saved Maya scene as a seperate file (indigo version) and deleted the mats.
Getting the mats to look right in Indigo is proving to be a big problem though, as well as the exr blowing out the image.
