UV mapping 2 textures (?)

Post by 8bstudio » Wed Jan 23, 2008 8:58 am

Hi to all!
I've a problem:
I want to make a wood object with many little holes... so I UV-mapped a wood texture to object and then I mapped the other same object with an holes texture; blended the 2 objects, etc. with a null material.
My question: is it possible to use 2 different maps with different UV-coordinates and UV-scale on the same object?
Because my project now has the UV-scale of texture holes equal the UV-scale of wood texture... and like this is wrong!
Anyone had same problem?

i don't think it's possible, because uv textures will be applied to the , so called, uv-sets on the mesh. and it is possible to create only one uv-set at the time.
Correct me if im'm wrong

Thanks SmartDen!
So I must scale before the holes texture so they are proportioned!

WoW! Thanks!
So... Or master-Ono add multi-UV maps or... :( ... or scale textures to get similar dimensions!

haven't there been some tricks with MultiUVsets?
I think, there where some tricks in sketchup... Maybe, that could be "translated" to blender, too? :)
