* added correct external IOR for phong.
* New translucent / glossy transparent code
* Changed some sampling stuff, especially for phong materials.
* added metadata writing to pngs.
* added metadata reading from pngs with --dumpmetadata switch.
* added optional watermarking with indigo logo - added 'watermark' option in inifile and renderer_settings xml tag.

Well, the phong material used to assume an external IOR of 1, which meant that e.g. an object with a phong material inside a glass of water (IOR 1.33) would be slightly shinier than it should have been.

Yes, I have a new logo.

Thanks Nik! The new glossy transparent code looks WAY better! Awesome work! (Gotta luv those releases where there's no XML changes.. )
....are you sure the watermark option works when changing it in the inifile? It doesn't seem to be working for me.

Aha! Thanks jurasek!

A quick comparison of the new version with the old. Same material settings. This is the SkIndigo frosted glass preset. Looks SO much better!

EDIT: added normal Specular glass for additional comparison.

Awesome!

It's great we'll won't have to add Indigo logos manually to our renders (to promote the engine) anymore (not that I ever did - but I will now :))

Can't wait to try the new glossy material out!

Thanks Ono!

great - I just took my Humanoid model with SSS skin to over 2000+ samples already in test 7 :(

Ono - does that path weight fix alters the render of lights/caustics behind glass etc?

I'll post some skin results soon with some settings.

Yeah, hopefully it should fix those issues you were seeing.
