I was thinking the other day...
Indigo saves .igi and png files in the 'renders' directory, but with names like im1182713722.png or im1182713722.png. Can indigo be made to save the igi and png's with the IGS's name, and an incremental number after it?
like, computerscene_1.igi and later on computerscene2.igi.
Maybe even a command line option could be given that would specify weather you want the igi's to be overwritten as time progresses, or saved with incremental numbers. Because im sure that some people wouldnt mind having a lot of igi's on their HD, or even properly named igi's and png's.
Well, what do you think?

I think, it already was requested. Not shure, though.
I wonder, how indigo get's those numbers:
they increase, obviously, but (I actually didn't try, but anyway) I can't see, in which way.

yes, I do, too, but
1) a computer never can be 100% random - it needs a sometimes very complicated algo, which simply gives MANY results, but not EVERY result...
2) wouldn't they shrink, then, too? They simply get higher and higher.

i would love to see random letters and ascii characters included with the random numbers, that would lessen the chances of having duplicate numbers - having 10 digits in the filename really doesnt give much breathing space...

xD 10000000000 possibilities isn't enough?
OK, 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 possibilities would be even better xD

It's
1000Y
(Wikipedias lastest Value is Y, so there appears to be NO name for the actual number xD)
Y = yotta

Use the switch:
-o customname.png when starting Indigo.
I think -o stands for output (or something like that)

oh, by using comand-lines, ok.
Never took an exact look.
But it would be nice, to have that as Standard and therrefore, two cl-switches:
-orand (back to the random numbers)
and the current
-o customname.png
and, if some people don't like the Standard as-is, an entry in the inifile, to refine it

Why so complicated?
It's up to exporter really... -o whatevername.png is defined by exporter. So it can be a scene name or a custom name. No -o parameter means random numbers.
If we could get the same custom name option for igi, then it would be enough.

at least, the scene-name thingy should be standard.
(both png and igi)
