Absolut Indigo
Absolut Indigo
Some of you maybe know "Absolut Wodka" and this here is "Absolut Indigo". The DOF is postwork, made with the Blender Rendernodes. Rendertime was 24 hours (1600x1200).

Great image Furumaru.
I don't think your glass/liquids are quite correct tho.
There's a special way you have to model such interfaces in Indigo:

It's a bit of work, but it should result in highly realistic renderings.

Very cool picture
You should use Ono's advice for a perfect realism. And if your scene is scaled correctly, you shouldn't have problems to find a good f-stop value.
I can see if there is enough DOF in a few minutes with my AMD64 3400+. You don't have to wait for hours, let's say 10/15 min.
edit : the quoted topic is quite long, but, in a few words :
- add thickness to your bottle
- put a higher precedence to your glass medium than your liquid one.

That setup looks pretty good Furumaru.
Some things to check are
* IOR of glass should be ~= 1.5
* IOR of liquid should be ~= 1.33 (but perhaps vodka is different? )
* make sure normals are correct
* precedence of glass medium should be greater than liquid medium precedence - very important!
* precedence of liquid medium should be > 1

Add a meniscus where the surface of the liquid touches the glass.
