Swan

Post by Furumaru » Wed May 23, 2007 7:26 am

A glass-swan modelled with Blender and rendered with Indigo. No PostWork was made! The DOF and Bloom are directly made with Indigo. Rendertime was 15 hours (1600x1200). :)

Rendering a depth map (in your 3D app), and using it in Photoshop...
A special filter is in PS since CS1 to do DOF in postproduction (sure gimp etc. could use it to!)

Herr Krammernator1032: http://www2.indigorenderer.com/joomla/f ... php?t=1988 :D

The swan looks great - what is that ring thing being reflected on the swans chest?

oh, yes
normally YOU overread stuff, and I tell you, what you didn't see

But why should anyone do that post process?
Maybe, it's easier to get the right effect, but anyway!

Blender DoF Node is great, I guess (I never used it, yet), but Indigos DoF will be more realistic, for sure.

That is probably the best render I've seen in quite some time, for indistinguishable from reality - ness.

Some slight cauchy b coeff would seal it, probably.
