Violet source code released

Post by OnoSendai » Sat Apr 21, 2007 6:01 am

Violet is an interactive tonemapper for Indigo Image format (.igi) HDR files.

I've released the source under the GPL.

You have to use SVN to get the source.

To build it, you'll need wxWidgets.

I've only built it on Windows, but it should be fairly portable. (wxWidgets is cross platform)

There's a VS2003 solution included.

Good luck building it :)

I'll be accepting patches,
so If you have some new cool stuff, send it to me.

Please follow the code conventions (=my style :P) or your patch will probably be rejected

Some features which would be cool to add:

* make GUI cleaner, less controls; more image
* .igi blending (multilight)
* .igi blending with colour tinting
* lots of other stuff :)

Thanks Ono.

I tend to trust people who release their work under GPL - it shows a certain integrity which matters to me.

I've been on these forums a while but I haven't posted any work. Unfortunately, my current project isn't in the photorealism area of things. Still, this is a great forum and I love the work you are doing!

1 thread for post-work ?

Excellent work here, really...
I've tried version 0.1.1, excellent addons, particulary noise reduction...

just a remark : only one(1) core is used for calculations... so it can take time (noise, glare, bloom, etc...)

awesome tool, anyway...
