Hi, try in C4D - camera - object - film offset x, y. In indigo - camera - shift up, right...

Hi pavoda,
thanks, i'm gonna try but i assume it only shifts the frame of the camera, there's no tilt (different angle of the lens and the sensor)?

As you say, I'm pretty sure Indigo only features a shift lens, but not tilt. The former has a lot of arch viz applications, while I've never actually seen the latter being used in a 3D rendering context.

I always thought of tilt/shift as being the same. What Cinema calls "film offset", indigo calls shift up/right and theplugin takes care automatically.

Aye. But you can't get "fake" DOF to generate miniature shots like you can with a tilt lens. Fortunately the effect is somewhat easy to replicate in Photoshop using lens blur and a vertical gradient as depth map.

when you tilt the camera you can change the perspective effect (for architecture for example to have the buildings "straights" but the shift effect is much more interesting (to me) cause you can affect the depth of field. But ok, i'm gonna try what is possible, thank you all for your answers/help.

yes Oscar, thank you, that is what i'm gonna do, but i always prefer have a nice raw render image on which i do the less post process, always seems much more natural to me, a little like if you work in a real environment with a camera.

Perhaps changing the scale of the scene and narrowing the fov might cut it... after all in real life these lens makes the scene feels small you might as well make the scene smaller.

yeah pixie but that is not about controlling the power of the dof but basically when you shot, you aim to something and what is closer and further of that focus point you aim at is affected by the dof perpendiculary to the lens, with a tilt shift you can control the rotation of that perpendicular line of focus.

some examples:

you may get this effect when you resize 3D model to very small :)
