New user with Indigo/Blender-problem (OS X)

Post by Fille » Tue Apr 10, 2018 7:48 am

Hi guys!

I downloaded Blender 2.79b and Indigo v4.0.66. Rhino is my preferred 3D package, but you don't have a Rhino-integration yet, it seems.

However... I can't get it to work. I somehow understood from your website that the exporter is included in the Indigo download. When I start Blender and go to File -> User prefs -> Render/Addons I don't see Indigo in the list...

OS X High Sierra 10.13.4. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

grab the newest Blendigo from the forum thread there: https://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vi ... =8&t=14793
the "Archive" zip version...

then install in Blender from the add-ons –"Install add-on from file" selecting the zip you downloaded.
Indigo should then show up as an option in the render engines list.

Hi and thanks for your reply! The file downloaded from that link is a folder (blendigo-4) containing a lot of py-files... I have no idea which one I'm supposed to select. I tried with the most obvious, but nothing showed up in the render list - nothing happened.
I really have no idea how to get Indigo to work...

If you download it to Mac OS X, it automatically unpacks the zip, unfortunately. Go to the folder you just downloaded, open it and select indigo_exporter. Right/CMD click, and compress. Then go to blender and install the add-on from the zip file you just created. Enable it in Blender, save user settings, and you should be good to go.
